Description:
From the website: "Tolerance.org is a principal online destination for people interested in dismantling bigotry and creating, in hate's stead, communities that value diversity. "Founded in 1991 by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Teaching Tolerance provides educators with free educational materials that promote respect for differences and appreciation of diversity in the classroom and beyond. "Teaching Tolerance also promotes equity and respect by offering: Classroom activities; Web-exclusive resources; Materials for Mix It Up, a student-led activism initiative; Grants for anti-bias projects developed and implemented by K-12 educators; and a monthly e-newsletter."
Possible uses:
Teachers, parents and students will find information, resources and activities to increase awareness of differences and build respect for all people.
