The site offers connections to curriculum standards. The resource library seems a valuable reference - having tools and research in one place.

Description:

Youthealth offers software and resources for health curriculum. Programs are available in exploring the human body, keeping healthy, aches and pains, growing and developing and feelings and worries. From the website: "Youthealth provides fun and responsible child-centred health education and health promotion to children and young people, combining the richness and power of multimedia with the educational strengths of peer-based learning. Youthealth aims to empower children and young people to improve health and build self-esteem and resiliency."

Possible uses:

Teachers can find curriculum on health and biology related topics. The software provides interactive components for students to use in conjunction with their classes. These programs soon will be deliverable via the Internet. Teachers can also become a member of the Health Beats Digital Resource Library and use this resource to help plan lessons and curriculum.
