This site hits the Industrial and Post Industrial Age, when people were dreaming about the future in new ways. Transportation Futuristics shares a collection of images and descriptions of some of these radical ideas.
Possible uses:
Discover where some current practices derive from, like air conditioning in cars. Learn why some of these ideas failed and what we can learn from them. Students can study one of the eleven areas or compare one to another. This site can complement a social study of the changes happening in the Industrial Age or as a science study of invention and engineering.
