This site is primarily a text site, but is set up with graphics that help visual learners. Most of the resources come from the National Library of Medicine. This may be the site to see for high school students rather than using this site. There are several ways to search for information on this site. Scrolling over chemicals on the bottom of the page shows where they appear in the scene.

Description:

Travel to Tox Town , the town, the city, the farm, or the US-Mexico border , to learn about toxic chemicals and environmental health risks. "Tox Town uses color, graphics, sounds and animation to add interest to learning about connections between chemicals, the environment and the public's health."

Possible uses:

Use this as a resource when planning a unit about toxic chemicals around us. Share information with students by printing out documents or using a projector. Have students research a particular toxin using this site.
