Description:

Ripple Effects provides software programs for teachers and students related to improving behavior and problem solving. From the website: "Ripple Effects is excited to introduce Teaching Coach, an engaging multimedia learning tool that helps teachers quickly identify barriers to student achievement via interactive profiles, then get coaching in effectively individualizing teaching to reach them. "This comprehensive 60 topic program addresses four areas that are critical to teacher success: learning issues, behavior issues, socio-cultural issues, and social-emotional issues. It's a scaleable way to quickly enable educators to tease out one from the other and efficiently address each of them with a combination of technical skill and emotional intelligence. "There are two parts to the program. A series of simple, short Interactive Profilers enables teachers to efficiently identify individual student issues and aptitudes, in areas like ADHD, dyslexia, and learning styles. Another set of Profilers helps teachers better understand themselves in areas critical to success. Equipped with this information on individual students, and on themselves, teachers can then get coaching in how to work with individual students most effectively."

Possible uses:

This software can be used by teachers to help sort out and solve social and emotional problems students have. Software is also available for students to use - one for kids and one for teens. Classes can use this software together to all learn about social and emotional growth. Individual students can work through this software to deal with a specific issue.
