Recommendation:

While this site only covers five people in the field of public relations, it does this comprehensively. Each exhibit is laid out differently with different features. While inconsistent, each page is still easy to follow and find information. Each page tells a story of both the person´s life and the changes they brought forth in the area of public relations.

Description:

Find informative exhibits on five people who pioneered and shaped America´s industry of Public Relations. The library is in New York and available for research use by appointment. A list of the library´s bibliography is online. From the website: "Established in 1997, this is the place to go to learn about how ideas are developed for industry, education and government and how they have been applied to successful public relations programs since the PR industry was born."

Possible uses:

Classes studying advertising history or the psychology involved with public relations can use this site to learn about five people who were pioneers in the field. Teachers can share components of the site with the class. In small groups, students can learn about one of the five people and report back to the class about their accomplishments and influential ideas.
