Description:

From the site: "The game uses a `virtual city´ that the children must travel through in order to `win.´ As they progress, they learn various financial planning concepts; practice managing money and work toward defined goals. "There are materials that accompany the website to help math teachers make the best use of the site. The Moneyopolis site can be integrated into classroom activities through suggested lesson plans and related activities." Teachers can track student progress through the site. Students can also track their own spending habits using the Budget Gadget.

Possible uses:

This game can be used as an enrichment experience for some students or an all class project. Students can work independently or in teams. Lessons are provided for teachers to incorporate into the project.
