This site is appropriately aimed at younger students, who will undoubtedly know Mrs. Frizzle. The guided tours are fun, interactive and contain many facts. Families can also use this site and find simple science experiments to do at home. The science experiments are simple and use common household items. The TV shows are mentioned as a companion to the site, but they are not necessary.

Description:

Join the popular character of Mrs. Frizzle and hop on the Magic School Bus to learning adventures. Learn facts, play games and find experiments to do. From the website: "Use Scholastic's The Magic School Bus as a supplement to your curriculum. The activities provided build on children's interest in Scholastic's The Magic School Bus and offer lots of opportunities to engage them in hands-on learning. Each activity relates to one of Scholastic's The Magic School Bus television episodes; however, the episodes are not required to complete the activities. Remember what Ms. Frizzle says, `Get out there and explore!´"

Possible uses:

Students can explore the guided tours (a combination of information and games) with some adult assistance. Classes could take a guided tour together if the site were projected. Teachers can create simple worksheets to accompany the tours to ensure that students carefully read the information.
