After clicking on a letter, several images appear on a solid color background. The images and font are clear and easy for young children to see. The links take the viewer outside of the site to related research and activities. Some of these need adult assistance to read or participate in. Previewing any page before using it in the classroom is worthwhile.

Description:

Click on an ABC block on the homepage to find words and images beginning with that letter. Click on additional words to find related research and activities about those images.

Possible uses:

Classes can do an in-depth study of the alphabet using this site. Use this site to add to a letter-of-the-week curriculum. Set the class computer to a certain page for students to explore during the week. Share this site with parents to use alongside school curriculum to encourage parent participation in their child´s learning. There is a small bookcase icon on the bottom left of the homepage. This icon leads to additional resources collected in a wide range of child related topics for teachers and parents.
