Description:
Visit the Museum Dictionary, guided by the Professor, to learn about the Kyoto National Museum and its collections. The Professor narrates a tour of nine different art areas , ceramics, paintings, lacquerware, archaeology, sculpture, calligraphy, textiles, metalwork and architecture. See images of artifacts and learn about them and their historical connection. Connect to the museum´s homepage to find additional information and resources.
Possible uses:
Project images on a screen during a study of Asian art or of a certain art form. Have students search the site, choosing one type of medium to learn more about.
