This site is geared for children. With safety in mind, the site encourages the connection between children from around the world. Their creative endeavors are respected and displayed in a dynamic manner. Cultural learning is both implicit and explicit through the process of story and art sharing.

Description:

Kids´ Space provides reading, writing, music and art opportunities for students. Students can share their creative endeavors with others around the world. Create art and allow someone else to write a story to accompany it. Learn about others from around the world through their stories and messages. One of the goals of Kids´ Space is to "Make a difference in understanding people and ourselves. 1. Break down cultural, religious, ethnic and racial barriers between children of the world by promoting cross-cultural collaboration in creative projects. 2. Foster literacy, artistic expression, and cross-cultural understanding. 3. Encourage artistic expression utilizing a variety of mediums (art, writing, music)."

Possible uses:

Art classes can submit artwork to the site and wait to see if someone else writes a story to accompany their piece. Students can find artwork to write a story about. Students can write folktales, original stories or ones that fit in a suggested theme and then submit them for online publication.
