GOALS is like an electronic journal for the amazing adventures. There are sites that are more organized in this effort , with guaranteed daily writings , that can be more dependable for classroom use. Finding an already completed adventure to read and use takes away some of the excitement, but could still provide a way to capture student interest. The teacher pages are mostly questions for students to explore with no links or information about them provided. The adventures vary depending on the individuals, so read them through to find ones that fit criteria you have.

From the site: "The GOAL of the 'Global Online Adventure Learning Site' is to bring real life adventures to the World Wide Web, with emphasis on science, technology and nature. In addition to being an acronym for 'Global Online Adventure Learning Site', the word 'GOALS' and our adventures are intended to inspire our readers to establish and strive for goals of their own, whatever they might be."

Possible uses:

Students can read about adventures around the world. Discover the trials and triumphs of traveling in a kayak that gets damaged. Learn about preparing for such an adventure. Follow people as they set off to explore different areas of the world. Teachers can print off entries and share them with students each day to make a past adventure seem like it´s an ongoing experience. Students can read about how people set goals and reached for them. This may inspire them to work towards their own goals.
