This WebQuest is appropriate for preschool and kindergarten. Students will need assistance reading the research information and will need to be reminded of the question they are seeking an answer for. The WebQuest pages contain large font and are simply designed. The research pages are quality and students may want to spend time finding out more information about each animal from those pages.

Description:

Frog has just discovered he is no longer a tadpole and is in search of his family. Students work in small groups to help frog visit six other animals to see if they are his family. When frog meets each animal, students answer questions to help frog decide if he fits with them. When students complete the WebQuest, they create a dramatic performance of the story.

Possible uses:

Integrated into a study on frogs and animals, this WebQuest can be used as a research component of the unit. Students work in small groups in the classroom or computer lab to learn about animals. Teachers can share this story with the drama teacher to create an interdisciplinary unit.
