Recommendation:

This site provides a good framework for learning how to create electronic portfolios. The site would be even better if it included tutorials on the software to use (HyperStudio is recommended) but teachers may choose from a variety of programs and software. The steps are clear and helpful. Think about a back-up plan so students do not loose any of their work in their portfolio.

Description:

This site provides a guide for starting and creating student digital portfolios. Topics include a why to use electronic portfolios, what to include, how to create them, how to assess them and two examples.

Possible uses:

Teachers wishing to start using electronic portfolios can use this site as a resource and guide. Work with the technology teacher at your school to create these together. Students will create their portfolios once they understand the program.
