Description:
From the website: "The Creative Connections Project is a groundbreaking model of education that uses the arts and the Internet to build cross-cultural understanding and community by directly linking predominantly US K-12 classrooms with partner classes in regions of the world they are studying. Connecting to all areas of the curriculum and engaging schools in remote corners of the world, it addresses a set of needs on the opposite sides of the digital divide, creating a dynamic learning experience for students and teachers on both sides. "This rich learning experience enhances the curriculum, integrates technology in the classroom, uses the arts as a means to communicate and share across cultures; empowers teachers and students by making learning more interpersonal, dynamic and meaningful; builds self-esteem in students and helps students develop skills that prepare them to participate constructively in an interconnected, modern world."
