This site provides an array of companion activities and resources related to the textbooks. This is a nice addition of another medium to explore topics. Using the textbooks is not a requirement, though, to utilizing the activities available here. It´s worth a browse to determine if there are categories that fit your curriculum and to see if other sites recommended for additional research might prove beneficial. The site is well organized and easy to use. State standards are provided.

Use Class Zone in conjunction with textbooks from McDougal Littell. From the website: "One step beyond the classroom is ClassZone, where McDougal Littell's Mathematics, World Languages, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts textbooks come to life. Just click on your subject area, choose the book you use in class, and you will have access to your textbook's companion Web site. "Through ClassZone, students will stay sharp-minded with online puzzles, current events coverage and quizzes, while teachers can access up-to-date tools for daily lesson plans as well as resources to enhance their professional development. "ClassZone is also the place to log into McDougal Littell eServices. You can access eServices by signing in on the ClassZone home page or by clicking on the link on your textbook's companion site."

Schools that use the McDougal Littell textbooks will find companion practice and quiz activities, resources, lesson ideas and tutorials. Anyone can find activities relevant to basic Math, Science, Social Studies, Language and Language Arts curriculum that can be used in the classroom to further student understanding. Teachers can find relevant web resources to recommend to students conducting research or teachers can use these sites in their curricula planning. Teachers can utilize the eServices offered by Class Zone.
