Recommendation:

This site carries ads by Google, some are right in the middle of a page and could easily be perceived as part of the content of the site. It is primarily a reading for learning and information site. The interactive components are the quizzes. But the writing and style in which the information are presented is appropriate, concise and should not overwhelm young chemists.

Description:

Chem 4 Kids shares chemistry topics for students. There´s information on matter, atoms, elements, the periodic table, reactions and biochemistry. Find an image gallery, online quizzes and lots of general information all presented in a form appropriate for young learners. The site is searchable, has a site map and a site tour.

Possible uses:

Refer students to this site to use as a resource during homework or studying. Use the images to project during lessons on the various elements. Share portions of the site tour with students as introductory material. Use the quizzes to check student understanding and learning.
