Biography Maker
Recommendation:
The site offers wonderful questions and guidance for a biographical research project. It provides the entire framework and all the questions for students to ask and is written for students to read and understand easily. Some teachers may prefer students be more actively involved in developing their own questions for their research, but the site can support students needing more assistance in setting up their research. Students need to read a lot on this site and breaking up how the information is shared into whole class experiences or activities might keep student interest and attention. As with any research process, students need guidance for organizing their notes and information as they research. This site is not interactive to meet that goal, so that is something a teacher should plan to do.
