The page for reading about color scheme is a bit long and students may lose interest. It may be worth exploring some of this site together on a projector. The artists explored are some of the most famous male artists. Including additional styles and some female artists may empower more students.

Description:

Students study color and artistic style before creating an original piece of art. After completing the piece, students describe their style and how it relates to the style of artists who were the inspiration.

Possible uses:

Art classes can complete this WebQuest when studying style and color. Students explore works by Dali, Picasso, Warhol, Monet and Matisse. Share additional artists´ pieces in class to create a broad range of styles students can connect to and emulate.
