Description:

This is the kids page of the New York Philharmonic website. Students can listen to instruments, musicians and composers. They can also play musical games, create their own instruments, read news and watch video clips of the Philharmonic.

Possible uses:

Classes can use this site to expand their knowledge about musicians and composers and to be introduced to instruments they do not have easy access to. Students can repeat rhythms, sort musical instruments, explore orchestration and create a minuet in the games. Individuals with an interest in music will enjoy playing on and exploring this site.
