While it will take some confidence and faith for a beginner to plunge into such a project, the support system seems well developed, experienced and wanting to help educators. The concept of connecting kids with other kids around the globe is an important component of Web use in education. Some of the projects turn into service projects.

Possible uses:

Teachers can have their class join in on a project, such as the importance of international affairs, or create one of their own with GSN's assistance. Links from the various projects may provide an online activity or be a resource for information on a topic.
