Children interested in firefighters and fire trucks will love this site. Lots of good safety information is provided. The educational value of each activity and the ease of loading each page decrease the site's rating.

Description:

The National Fire Protection Association offers activities, games and information about fire safety through this site. From the website: "The Sparky the Fire Dog Web site is full of great activities and games for kids of all ages. Kids can ask Sparky safety questions, create a home fire escape plan or look through the way cool fire truck gallery." There are also games and family fire safety information.

Possible uses:

Children studying safety can utilize the activities on this site. Classes that have fire safety questions can pose them to Sparky. Teachers can share this site and information with parents.
