American Rhetoric is an expansive site containing speeches on a variety of topics. The rhetoric exercises are interesting and informative on the use of rhetoric in reporting. Students will be intrigued by the Rodman vs. de Ref exercise. The audio quality is good and the images included are relevant and appropriate.

Description:

There is an "index to and growing database of 5000+ full text, audio and video (streaming) versions of public speeches, sermons, legal proceedings, lectures, debates, interviews, other recorded media events and a declaration or two." The site also contains "200+ short audio clips from well-known speeches, movies, sermons, popular songs and sensational media events by famous (and infamous) politicians, actors, preachers, athletes, singers and other noteworthy personalities.
