This site is easy to search, is searchable by several means and contains quality, reviewed lessons that include interactive online components. The lessons cover a range of skills and content. It is here that you can find lessons to develop reading fluency created for students in 9-12 that contain content and interest levels appropriate for their age.

Description:

ReadWriteThink provides quality resources, tools and lessons for educators and students. From the website: "ReadWriteThink, established in April of 2002, is a partnership between the International Reading Association (IRA), the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and the MarcoPolo Education Foundation. "NCTE and IRA are working together to provide educators and students with access to the highest quality practices and resources in reading and language arts instruction through free, Internet-based content."

Possible uses:

Teachers can find useful lessons here with all the necessary components - how much time is needed, printable resources and the research and standards covered. A clickable calendar provides lessons relevant to each day. A web resources page provides links to other educational resources. Teachers and students can utilize the 'Student Materials' to extend literacy lessons - create an acrostic poem, evaluate research resources - all online with these tools.
