This organization has wonderful ideas and has created an outstanding resource page for teachers, students and parents to utilize. The resources offered on this site are extensive and thorough. New programs and curricula are being created and used with students. It is difficult to evaluate the curriculum based on the short synopsis provided and previewing is not listed on the site as an option.

Description:

Just Think offers programs, curriculum and resources to understand and create media messages for young people. From the website: "Just Think teaches young people to lead healthy, responsible, independent lives in a culture highly impacted by media. We develop and deliver cutting-edge curricula and innovative programs that build skills in critical thinking and creative media production. Through our work, young people learn to: Gain leadership abilities; Improve their academic performance; Make sound and healthy behavior decisions; Acquire practical workplace tools; Enhance their consumer choices; Engage positively with their peers, parents, educators and community and Think for themselves."

Possible uses:

Just Think offers several curricula for purchase focused on hip hop, heroes, poetry and health issues in media. Workshops are offered for professional development. Just Think is based in San Francisco and have traveled nationally and internationally to work with teachers and schools.
