The home page is set up for easy use. Students can simply click on a topic and begin the activity. The parent and teacher pages offer useful information and guidance to the website activities. The adventures are limited to specific topics. This site does a good job exploring social issues that are challenging to portray in an online activity.

Description:

The Schools Online homepage offers different interactive activities centered around science and life skills. Each activity is offered in Spanish and most contain a teacher's guide, lesson plans and related activities. Find other categories and resources at the bottom of the home page for adults and seniors. Projects and information about 4-H clubs are included and are searchable by county.

Possible uses:

Teachers can utilize these activities with a whole class or individual students can participate in an adventure on their own. Several of the adventures have audio components so younger students can participate without high reading skills. The teacher and parent page contain topics that are not online adventures for students, but are good curricular resources.
