Atomic Learning
Recommendation:
Atomic Learning provides tutorials with short video clips, which would appeal to a visual and/or audio learner. The clips are organized in a progressive manner to build learning of the software: each clip is just a small 'bite' of the process. A support link is provided for additional questions a user might have. It supports more beginning technology users in incorporating technology into their curriculum. Many of the tutorials offered for Windows and Macintosh contain guidance that is provided in the "Help" area of the software. The perk of this site is to have the audio and visual aids to enhance learning of the software. If you are looking to master new software, it may not be presented on Atomic Learning.
Description:
From website: "Atomic Learning provides software training using a unique, just-in-time approach. Our library of thousands of short tutorials on dozens of applications are focused on answering the common questions teachers, students and anyone else may have when learning software."
Possible uses:
Training individuals or groups on a specific software. Individuals can also work with a tutorial on their own to improve their knowledge and understanding of a piece of software. Students can use this as a resource as they work on a project (iphoto or imovie, etc.)
