This is a great tool to have students' work available for families to view. The site has reviewers who look at each poster for appropriateness and to ensure the safety of the writer's identity. Students are not involved in technical web writing, but the purpose is to provide an accessible space for student work. There is potential to add scanned documents of original artwork, puzzles or photographs of projects.

Description:

Project poster provides a space for students to quickly and easily create a web page of work they've produce. Using a simple format on the site, students enter their word processing, an image and links to create their poster. These posters are then available to anyone with web access.

Possible uses:

Students learning to use the internet can create a quick page here that they can visit again. They can add an image and web links relevant to their topic. Classes can use this tool to post their completed research projects, share their recommended reading lists, post poetry or other writing, write art reviews or interpretations, etc. A link to "Web Worksheet Wizard" at http://wizard.hprtec.org/ is provided for teachers wanting to create a web page.
